Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question that is not listed here, please email me at info@thevibranttapestry.com.

Q1: Do you support work with other age groups?

While I tend to work with those 55 and older, I am open to conversation with those experiencing challenges in mid life as well. Please reach and schedule a consult so we can talk further! I would love to learn more about what you are looking for.

Q2: Do you take insurance?

At this time, I am private pay only. This allows me to guide my practice and our availability to each other. We are not constricted to a limited number of sessions and can eb and flow on our work together, which I feel creates a deeper connection for our work.

This also allows me to focus less on clinical diagnosis and more on the person in the environment. With insurance, I am tailoring my sessions to meet the criteria for the diagnosis presented. When I am not binded by insurance, I am able to tailor sessions more individually and focus on all aspects of concern.

Q3: What is your fee?

I charge $170 for a 50-minute session. This is expected to be paid prior to the start of the session.

Q4: Do you offer a sliding scale or reduced fee?

I am privileged to offer a sliding scale. If you feel that the session fee does not fit into your budget ongoing, please contact me for further support. I have a limited number of sliding scale sessions available at a time.

Q5: How long will we work together?

To be determined! That’s the long and the short of it. I ask patients to commit to weekly sessions for 6-8 weeks. This allows us to have a good rapport together and champion goal setting and discovery. After this, I would recommend bi-weekly sessions ongoing to continue the complex work we’ve started.

Q6: What should I expect in a session?

My work is guided by you. There is no right or wrong session. I tend to focus on current life pains, while weaving in life experiences that may mirror these pain points. I think of these sessions as conversations, allowing the dynamic of power to be diminished between clinician and patient. This allows us to have trust and honesty, navigating what is needed together.

Q7: Do you offer in-person therapy sessions?

Not at this time. I am by virtual appointment only. A link will be sent to you 24 hours prior to enter your session.

I recommend finding a space where you can be comfortably seated and there are minimal distractions. A laptop or computer is best, as holding a phone for 50 minutes can be taxing. I understand life happens, and we will both make accommodations to disruptions during our sessions.
